Join Parent Council! Our Next Meeting on Monday Monday May 7, 2012 at 6pm News and Events Minutes Track Update Think Recycle Recycle your old digital cameras, printer cartridges and cell phones at Welborne and help raise money for the school! By doing this, you are helping to save our landfill sites, raise funds for Welborne and for every 12 [qualifying] returns, a tree is planted in Welborne's name. Please ask your friends, relatives and neighbours to check at home and at work for used print cartridges and cell phones. Thank you for helping our environment. Parent Council - 2011/2012 The School Parent Council is a group of volunteers who get together once a month to meet and discuss relevant issues about education and the school community. Our School Parent Council is very active with a dedicated executive and many hard working Council members and volunteers. Come out to our next meeting and see what's going on! Everyone's invited and we even have free child care. Celebrating Our Achievements! Check out what we've been up to lately... Fundraising is an important part of our School Parent Council activities. This year we continue our primary focus on a new track for Welborne! Check out the route set up through the hallways and in the gym to show the progress of our fundraising efforts! Every one of our students will decorate cool paper shoes and as we reach our fundraising goals, these pieces of art will track our progress. Every dollar counts towards our overall goal of $30,000. As usual, we also provide financial assistance within the school and classrooms in order to supplement learning materials and resources. Fundraising Thank for everyone's support in our annual magazine campaign. This year, all proceeds will be put towards a sports track for Welborne! Miss the deadline? Don't worry - you can always purchase magazines, books and more simply by clicking below all~year round and proceeds still go to Welborne! Mabel’s Labels is a company created by moms who were frustrated by the amount of stuff that left their houses, never to return. After lots of research and testing, they created the perfect labels for the stuff kids lose. Their sticky labels and clothing labels are dishwasher, microwave and laundry safe, and customized with a child’s name, choice of colours and icon.
